Once again this year, Shell Puget Sound Refinery plays a major sponsorship role with the annual Anacortes Waterfront Festival. The Festival, scheduled May 20-21, is a free, family-oriented event hosted by the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the community’s maritime heritage.
   
Shell Human Resources Manager Thomas Wood (left) did the honors at a poster unveiling event as Chamber official Mike Keller (far left) watched on. Keller was this year’s poster artist, donating a photograph taken years ago when the WT Preston was still in service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Preston now serves as a tourist attraction.
     
Look for a team of Shell volunteers to be on hand for the Waterfront Festival ... and don’t forget to sign up for several prizes offered during the course of the two-day event.
