Wednesday, March 14, 2007
At approximately 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday March 14, 2007, Shell employees reported a black plume of smoke emanating from the incinerator for the Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU #3). At 11:02 no further smoke was seen coming from the unit.

Air quality monitoring was conducted during and after the incident, and observed no detectable levels of substances that could create increased health risk to the public.
